Legendary music photographer Ross Halfin has documented Metallica for nearly 25 years, from their beginnings as a scrappy, furious garage band to their current status as the heaviest and most popular metal band in the world.

Proof of this has come with the great increase in foreign interest in this title over those others. ABOUT ROSS HALFIN: Legendary British rock photographer Ross Halfin has photographed Metallica since 1984, right on through to their most recent tour this year. He is frequently referred to as the 5th member of Metallica---he's actually been 'in the band' longer than any of the band's three bass players, and longer than any 2 of them combined. He's also photographed Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Judas Priest, and many others as a founding photographer for Kerrang, as well as documented the first wave of punk and onward.
