I became a salesman by chance. Before I finished high school, I attended a concert by the awesome rock 'n' roll band, White Snake, at the Veterans Memorial Gallery in Columbus, Ohio. I was seventeen years old, and I was impressed by the way some of the audience responded to lead singer David Coverdale, so I called my older brother Mike after the show and said we should put together a rock and roll band right away.
