In this lecture series, Hawking covers everything from Aristotle's arguments about the sphericity of the Earth to Hubble's discovery that the universe is expanding, then tells the story of the Big Bang theory, and then returns to his favorite topic: black holes, which he described as "looking for a black cat in a coal bunker." Finally, he tells us about the dream of a final theory, the finding of which will constitute "the ultimate victory of human reason."
