In this lecture series, Hawking covers everything from Aristotle's arguments about the sphericity of the Earth to Hubble's discovery that the universe is expanding, then tells the story of the Big Bang theory, and then returns to his favorite topic: black holes, which he described as "looking for a black cat in a coal bunker." Finally, he tells us about the dream of a final theory, the finding of which will constitute "the ultimate victory of human reason."

In addition, I have been very careful to make several observations in each chapter on every point that I thought needed more explanation. This is to keep the reader in constant balance while reading and also to enhance his scientific score in this inspiring cosmic exploration stage.

I should also note here that this series of lectures was delivered by Hawking in the nineties of the last century, and since that time many things have happened in physics So I made several other observations about what has been proven experimentally and what has not been proven so far
